From screen to bench
When you approve your design, it becomes a manufacturing file: the exact shape of the band, the head and every setting, at true size. Nothing is redrawn or reinterpreted. What you turned and looked at in the Studio is what we make.
Cast
The ring is cast in recycled 18ct gold or platinum, or the metal you chose. Casting gives us the band, the head and the shoulders in one piece, ready to be finished by hand.
Set
A master setter places each stone and shapes the metal around it: claws pushed over and finished to a smooth tip, beads raised for pavé, a rim burnished over a bezel. This is the slowest part of making a ring, and the part that decides how long it lasts.
Finished and hallmarked
The ring is cleaned up, polished or textured to the finish you chose, and sent to the Assay Office to be tested and hallmarked. It is then checked once more and polished until it disappears into light.
Materials
We use recycled gold and platinum. Centre stones come with a certificate from an independent laboratory such as GIA, IGI or HRD, so you know exactly what you are wearing. If you would rather set a stone you already own, the Studio lets you design around it.
Care for life
Every ring comes with lifetime care and resizing. Bring it back and we will check the settings, clean it, and renew the finish.
